Chapter 2

We start off with Keith doing his thing.  When he is not at work, he is out on the beach skilling for it.

Jenn the slave driver is found.  All the kids (plus a visiting one) were able to actually get their homework done right after school.

Shannon spends most of her time playing video games.

I finally found the easel thief.  I had to put up more because everyone would steal them and Erica needs them for her future in Law Enforcement.

Speaking of Erica.  I found her doing absolutely nothing of importance.

Some boring days later, the kids are finally ready for their birthdays.  Since I actually had the kids throw a party, they had it after school at the beach.

Erica went first and so you guys get a pre-makeover photo.

This sexy beast is Eloise Carnegie.  Spouse material?  I think not.

Gemma was on hand too.  Shannon aged up next.

Mate hunt commences.  I think only Gemma met this girl, so no name for the random babysitter girl who showed up.

This one has a lot of potential!

If you were wondering why July missed most of the party you can find her at work completing her LTW.

Keith blasted the ears of everyone that showed up.

Lot’s of teen fodder, but I think they are all related.  The werewolf/vampire girl is Selina.  Her mother is Carnation (Leo’s sister).

These two look exactly like Leo, so I know they are related somehow.  I will be giving them hair shortly.

Another cute potential spouse.

Selina begged for an autograph.  Poor thing must not know that he is her uncle.

Now that these two have hair!  Up top is Hubert and his younger sister Ashley is on the bottom.  Their mother is Autumn, making Leo their grandpa.  Kincaid Broke is their father.

I finally got the graves out of someone’s inventory.  Here are the dogs, horses and unicorns.

Not nearly as many humans though.

Not much really goes on.  Erica is learning to cook.

And fish.

Stanley Vinson. This is your life!

To say this boy is a pain in the ass is an understatement. Does he get credit for saving the household from death?  Nope, because he then got in trouble yet again seconds later.

*The yellow teen is Kyra.  She is the product of Matt Broke and Lemon Meringue.  She is also butt ugly, so no spouse potential there unless she grows up well.*

So, now the kids are teens and my computer malfunctioned yet again.  Luckily, we were able to finagle it so that I lost nothing for Sims 3, but I did have to spend a very long time repairing my saves since the meta.data file was missing out of 30 saves and I had to regeneration more.

With Stanley grounded for life, he is sad that he is now my little house slave.  The girls ran off to get jobs.  Erica in Law Enforcement and Shannon at the grocery store.

Then this happened after only taking one photo.  I guess I will solve this problem and be back next time.

Chapter 1: Erica

Skills for the three toddlers is up first.

Gemma gets her attention from the dogs since no one has time for her and she is in the red for some reason.

Mod dance happened.  Everyone lost hair and clothing again.  I fixed them up while the kids learned to walk.

Then learned to talk while Leo ran off to make dinner.  Gemma finally gets her social filled up.

By this time, the triplets are hungry and tired, but at least they got their skilling done for the day.

The lot is not big enough for the horses to exercise, so they have the run of the island.

Of the two pups that were born, Duchess is the one we kept.  Glitter and one of the horses now live with a relative.  Duchess just aged up here.

I think grandpa gnome is attempting to make a baby gnome gold statue.

Leo was at a party at Autumn’s house (I think).  Bulls Eye passed away and just a few minutes later one of the dogs did too.

The triplets have their birthday.  This is Shannon.

Erica

Stanley.

It is Sunday and a lot of stuff needs to be done today.  First, Erica goes to a painting class, followed by a fishing class.

At lunchtime, she used her mom and dad’s credit card to have a $50 lunch at the bistro.

Then it was off to take a logic class to end her day.

I noticed that no one else was doing anything important.  It is also generation 9 technically, so July, Leo, Gemma and Keith spent $1.3 million and bought all the land they could afford.  This left them with about $14,000.

The first day of school ends up almost being flooded out.

I ended up putting the training grounds in for the animals.  Sadly, I could not get the stuff out of the family inventory on to the lot, so I opened up buydebug and put exactly what they had brought with them.  Dog/cat wash, litter box, toy box, squeaky toys, two bottomless food dishes and two salt licks along with two beds for the dogs and a doghouse.  The stuff they brought with them will stay in the family inventory, sort of like a penalty for having to snag stuff out of build mode.

The week is really crawling by.  The kids never have time to do their homework because they are always so tired.  They end up doing it at school, except for Shannon who usually sleeps during the day.  Today, no one got homework done because it was field trip day.

Gemma grows up to YA and takes Persimmon and Taffy with her when she moves out.  I was thinking of sending off Leo, Shannon and Stanley, but chose not to at the last minute.

Duchess and Lily are still here and will bring in another generation of dog/unicorns soon.

The kids are pretty close to teenage now.  I left them playing with blocks while everyone else slept.  Leo Keith came home that night with level 5 in music.  July, who had previously completed her LTW, is now back up to Neurosurgeon.  She should easily hit level 10 before she hits elder.

Pumpkin had a baby earlier this day, this marks Leo’s 10th grandchild.  All of Leo’s siblings are still YA too, damn fairies.  Only Carnation had a child, Selina, a teen werewolf.

Chapter 7

*A/N: I found this draft in the blog bin.  I had no clue I had even wrote it up/uploaded it (June 10, 2014).  It was after the poll, but before the results.*

I hate reverting back in time.  Really I do.  Here is what I have had to deal with lately.

With the countdown to Sims 4 official though, I decided to get the Vinson’s completed before September.  With the hard drive failure, Gemma went from university back down to toddler.  I was not going to update the Vinson’s with this replay, but I had an unfortunate glitch happen.

Gemma ages up to child and is completely face one.

After moving them to Sunlit Tides, Gemma’s dad, Keith plays guitar on the beach so that I don’t lose everyone to watching him constantly.

Keith heads over to Kincaid Broke’s house to adopt one of the pups.

The pup is renamed Champagne.  He was a Charlie.

Leo (July’s dad, Gemma’s Grandad), has to gain back the lost painting level and writing level.  Then his LTW will be done.

Champagne is just too cute for words.

Taffy and Champagne are awaiting puppies.

Keith and July age up to adult.  How weird that her dad is still YA, right?  Damn fairies.

Lily was born.  Leo now wants to train our 14th generation unicorn.

Gemma gets on the honor roll.  The next day is her teen birthday.

Leo maxes painting and all the skill challenges.  He makes about $89,000 a week in royalties, so he is not writing books for his last writing level.  I just have him refining his skill.

July rides a horse for the first time ever.  She hopes to get Lily trained too.

Champagne howls to the birth of his pups, calling everyone to witness the next generations birth.

Taffy busted out with four pups.  The male and female on the right were identical.  Likewise, the male and female on the left were identical, but not to the other two.  I took them into CAS to get rid of the brown that somehow shows up randomly on colored pets.  Taffy never got rid of her brown, and you can see what the pups were mixed with.  I sent the two male pups to a neighbor and we will make our choice from the females.  I guess it will come down to floppy or perky ears!

I had concerns when Gemma aged up to child.  I was correct to have them.  She aged up to teen completely face one.  Somehow, she had lost 99% of her genetics.  Only her skin, hair and eye color belonged to the family.  I miss my old Gemma.  Seriously.  I wish I could go back to February and have some sort of inkling that my computer was going to die. I did about 2 hours of surgery on her and this is the best I could do.

I don’t like her.

The next day, Leo maxes his writing skill (he topped his career sometime last year) and completes his LTW.  He still has 54 days until he ages to adult.  I guess he can stick around and see the end of this challenge with a goal of maxing all of his skills.

Vinson Update

 

Found an old save and now I am replaying Generation 8.  I will start updating again when toddler Gemma ages up to YA.  I will be fast tracking, so no actual updates will be done since we saw it all already.  Of note, Gage is a child and there will be no other births this time around.  Taffy is the dog heiress and Persimmon and Starweaver will by the parents of next horse/unicorn heir.

I am so far back that July is only level 4 in her career.  Bah.   I have already rescued the Tart’s and Lavender’s and posted updates.  I will hopefully get them back where they need to be soon.  Stay tuned.

Chapter 0

Welcome back and yay for Generation 9.  I did not forget this family, but I sort of only play Sims 2 now.  When I did actually insert my ITF disc, I immediately came to check in with Leo, July and Gemma.

Gemma: “Hey, look Jenn, no skin!”

Luckily, Gemma was the only one who lost that must have piece of cc.

July and Gemma have a nice moment of silence together before Gemma ages up to YA.

Aww!  I forgot that Micah died last time I played.  He was moved out to the graveyard.

Gemma is quickly realizing that being heiress is going to suck.

Random guy came to the lot and died while I had about 30+ ghosts lagging up the lot.

Guess who has been in a midlife crisis for 6 months.  Yep.  She wanted to flirt with whatever this guys name is.  Something Mrithilen.

Gemma: “Dad!  Birthday time!”

Keith: “Wooo!  Happy Birthday!”

July showed up late, but in time for Keith to age up to full adult!

Grrr!  Law Enforcement was not an option for her LTW, so she chose a Uni one.  I think to get a degree with a perfect GPA.  She turned out lovely though.

Persimmon and Starweaver ring in Gemma’s first chapter with their first foal, Flash.  I believe Flash is Generation 12 in the horse/unicorn department.

No!  Don’t take Taffy!

I want University done in one shot, so Gemma lives at the library with random rides in the motive mobile to take classes to up her stats.

Gemma: “How many more times do I have to take this stupid test?”

However many times it takes for an almost perfect score, dammit.

Brief interlude to make friends with Flash.

Then I remembered that I sent July on a quest to talk to a townie about something or another for an opportunity.

I autofocused in this little shack where July had apparently defied my commands and watched tv until she died or starved.  Poor thing.  I was so focused on Gemma that I figured the rest of the fools could care for themselves.

Gemma hit everyone with the moodlet manager and then left town.

She will definitely be getting a makeover as soon as she gets to school.

See.

She claimed her room and went off to donate a kidney for $3,500 while the dormies moved in.

Gemma: “I’m a millionaire.  Why do I have to make money again?”

Because I said so.

Gemma: “So lonely.”

Good thing you carry the motive mobile in your pocket, eh?  Get driving.

She wanted to play beer pong at a party, so random dormie joined her.

I am so bored already, but it will jump start her career in Law Enforcement.  She is only allowed to study hard at everything she does.

The dormies are quite entertaining until they set the kitchen on fire.

I think Gemma really likes dormie guy with no name.  They are always studying together and meeting up at parties.

It’s Tuesday and proof that she does go to class.

Why is there a house with puppies?

Ursa: “Where are you taking me?”

Gemma: “No dogs should be allowed at University.  Give me the female and I’ll keep my mouth shut.”

Lady: “Sold!”

Ursa: “New toys and my own bed!”

Yes, now we just need to find you a new name.  Also, the dormies love her.

She is so cute and will make a wonderful mate for Dusty….if I can take her home.  Gemma is quite attached, so I think we will both be sad if she is left behind.

Oh look, another fire.

Gemma now keeps the fridge locked up and cooks special food for Ursa and then leaves out plates for the dormies.

Erm…plates of real food for the dormies, not special dog food.

Gage was visiting!  For some reason they have zero relationship so Gemma was forced to hunt him down and chat with him.

Gemma: “Of course your room is still orange!  I have not officially been heiress in the house long enough to make changes.”

Gemma: “Late to my lecture, Gage!  Talk to you later!”

No one was happy to be in class on Thursday.  Gemma is off to the left napping.

Gemma aced all of the first week exams and was really stressed.  Her and Ursa spent the evening playing.
